My, how the tables have flipped turned—and this has nothing to do with that other sex-tape we've heard so much about.
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub has been slapped with a defamation lawsuit by ex-Stephen Zalewski after the "not-a-prostitution-whore" filled an episode of the Bravo series with claims that he secretly videotaped the two having sex—a tale he denied both on camera, and now in legal documents.
Zalewski's attorney Nace Naumoski tells E! News these accusations are far more serious than fodder for good TV.
"She was standing there talking with her friends about how Steve hid cameras and recorded her with out her knowing. As a result he has people coming up to him in restaurants saying you are real scum bag for doing that."
In fact, according to New Jersey state law, recording a person while engaging in sexual acts without his or her knowledge is illegal.
"[Danielle] is basically going around and accusing him of engaging in these criminal acts, and she knows it is not true," Naumoski continues. "In reality," claims the attorney, Staub either made these tapes herself or knew she was being recorded.
As of Friday afternoon, Staub's rep had yet to return our request for comment.
