Joe Perry's been livin' on the edge lately, but the good news is he's OK.

Aerosmith's guitar god sustained a minor back injury Thursday afternoon after a tailgating granny collided with his Italian racing bike in Middleboro, Mass.

Per the Boston Herald, Perry was on his 2009 Ducati Monster 696 when he was rear-ended by a 62-year-old woman. Lucky for them, both vehicles were going pretty slow.

Looking like a "rag doll," the banged up 59-year-old rocker was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and released a few hours later. A source told the paper he basically had a sore back.

The other driver, Linda O'Brien, a retired grandmother of six was not injured, and police cited her for following too closely.

A rep for Perry said the axman is now "fine" and back at home.

The mishap won't affect Aerosmith's 19-date Cocked, Locked, Ready to Rock summer tour, which kicks off next Friday in Oakland, Calif., and runs through September. Now that's a sweet emotion.
