The short answer is no.

While Lindsay Lohan's pending six-month jail and rehab stint certainly will put a crimp in her work schedule, the director of the planned Linda Lovelace biopic Inferno exclusively tells E! News that the roadblock will not detour his plans to have the actress portray the porn queen.

"There's no way that we're going to do this without her," says filmmaker Matthew Wilder. "Our financers redoubled their efforts. They called us the day of and said, 'We're not going to throw this girl under the bus. We're not going to recast. We're not going to replace. We'll wait for her.' "

And the waiting could be the hardest part.

"The money is all there—the support is all there," says Wilder. "Now we just have to figure out how much time it's going to take for her to go do this stuff. Our producers Chris Hanely and Jordan Gertner and I are very much behind her. Everybody is behind her."

Counting six months from July 20 (Lohan's day of reckoning), her release date would be just before Christmas.

"I would push this to the beginning of next year when she gets out," says Wilder. "You're not going to get people that want to work [during the holiday season]."

With Lohan perhaps only serving a portion of her sentence (see: Nicole Richie), a 2010 shoot date is still possible.

And should the flick ever get made, Wilder has promised that Lohan "will blow people's minds."

We can only hope.
