Lately, it seems life for onetime 7th Heaven star Jeremy London has been rather hellish.

In the wake of his alleged kidnapping, the troubled actor reveals in an exclusive interview with E! News that he's struggling with sobriety and depression.

"I have had a few drinks here and there. I haven't been perfect. I've been horribly depressed... I've slipped and I've taken a couple painkillers a couple times," says Jeremy when asked if he's been clean since sitting down with E! News back in April.

"Being an addict sucks, it's a disease and it's a day-to-day struggle no matter what. But I'm doing great. I'm sober. This [kidnapping] is absolutely something that could cause someone to fall off the wagon...and I've been able to stay sober through it. So that's a big test to me. I've proven that I can do it."

Jeremy, who is currently shooting the finale episode of the MavTV series Hollywood East, credits his "faith in God and the love of my child" in helping him not to stray.

"He's the light of my life," he says of his son. "I wouldn't have made it through this without my son." Adding, "I'm going to do whatever it takes to stay sober."
