Last week may have been a heartbreaker for Lost fans, but their pain was nothing compared to the devastation felt by a certain Lost star.

"It breaks my heart to tell you that yesterday as we were preparing to all go to the airport Nunu was struck by a car as she crossed the street," Jorge Garcia sadly announced Monday in a blog paying tribute to his consummate four-legged offscreen companion.

"She died in my arms."

Garcia has had the dog for nearly five years and regularly chronicled her daily adventures on his site, Dispatches From the Island.

"We are burying her in the Pet Garden at Valley of the Temples in Kaneohe. Nunu hated the water so we couldn't bring ourselves to having her ashes scattered in the ocean," Hurley the new Jacob Garcia wrote.

"Three months from now you'll be able to find a bronze plaque inscribed with just her name there. If you'd like to leave a flower or a toy, I'm sure she'd love it."

And you thought you used up a lot of tissues during the Lost finale. RIP, Nunu!
