They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. But can the absence of young ladies make you more famous?

Lady Gaga put her telephone skills to good use on Thursday when she called in to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to give YouTube sensation Greyson Michael Chance some words of advice…

"You're so sweet and so talented," she told the 12-year-old singer, whose rendition of Gaga's "Paparazzi" has everyone buzzing.

"Just keep following your dreams and work really hard," she added, before offering up this little bit of career counseling: "Stay away from girls and be focused."

Well, seeing how Greyson's already being compared to some kid named Justin Bieber, keeping his distance from the opposite sex may not exactly be an option.
