Betty White isn't the only one thankful for the millions of people wasting time on Facebook.

The 88-year-old actress killed it on last night's much-buzzed-about Saturday Night Live, which hit a year-and-a-half high in the ratings. From "Weekend Update" and "MacGruber" to discussing her "giant Dusty muffin" on a public radio cooking show, White, with her usual charming sassiness, appeared in almost every sketch without ever missing a beat and reminding us all why she's still loved after six decades in showbiz.

In her opening monologue, Betty thanked Facebook for the half-a-million-person-strong campaign that resulted in her SNL hosting gig, although admitting that the social networking site seems like a huge waste of time.

"I would never think that people on it were losers—but that's just because I'm polite," she said.

SNL alums Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Molly Shannon joined the fun on last night's special Mother's Day episode. Jay-Z was the musical guest.
