Lindsay Lohan Deemed "Not Bankable," Given the Ax

Troubled starlet fired from her latest project, The Other Side, the film's writer-director confirms

After a week of ice throwing, paternal warfare and a rumored watch heist, you'd think it couldn't get much worse for Lindsay Lohan.

It can.

The cactus tripper has been shown the door on her latest film, The Other Side, writer-director David Michaels tells E! News. She simply was "not bankable" and the project wasn't attracting production financing.

"The producers of the movie have reported that financiers have been resistant to finance the movie with Lindsay in the lead role," he says.

The film itself, however, is not in danger.

"There have been several inaccurate articles which have reported that the entire cast has left the movie, and this is entirely untrue," Michaels adds. "In fact, since this announcement, major talent agencies have been calling incessantly to get their clients into the movie…We will announce replacement soon as well as the addition of other formidable actors."

The film focuses on an ambitious egghead as she solves a bizarre mystery involving the eccentric residents of a remote island. Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Alanis Morissette and Jason Lee are among its castmembers, per IMDb.com.
