Kate Gosselin Still Dancing as Another Star Falls

There's no accounting for taste as Dancing With the Stars is down to eight contestants

No crying for Kate Gosselin this week.

Though she reigned as the worst dancer in the bunch heading into Dancing With the Star's elimination show, the polarizing reality-TV star lives to jive, cha-cha, fox-trot and goodness-knows-what-else another day.

One might think that the nagging truth about her dancing ability would make her a surefire bet for the bottom two, if not elimination, but Kate all of a sudden did just enough on last night's tango to avoid being completely eviscerated by the judges.

Not that "you're finally starting to move out there!" should be considered that big a compliment, but considering the recently single mother of eight seems to have just as many fans as detractors, there was a very real chance that Kate would yet again completely avoid the red spotlight.

And indeed she did.

Instead, Aiden Turner's studious run on Dancing With the Stars ended Tuesday, the charming Brit perhaps falling prey to a lack of name recognition, if not a lack of drive and hotness.

"Each week I came out here and gave it my all," the soap-opera actor said when asked about his time on the show. "Last night, I had the best time. I wasn't so nervous, I had a great time, like there was no one here, just us two," he said, referring to himself and partner Edyta Sliwinska, who has yet to take a star all the way to the disco ball trophy.

Joining him in the bottom two was Clean House host Niecy Nash, who was a judges' favorite up until last night, when Len Goodman called her rumba "boring."

So there you have it. There are a lot of Gosselin haters out there, but none of them seem to have figured out how to kick her off the proverbial front page yet.

Do share what you think of tonight's elimination in the comments section. Keep the four-letter words to a minimum—all those asterisks might overwhelm the mainframe.
