Jesse James has more than his dog on his side.

"I am very, very, very much supportive of my family," James' sister Julie exclusively tells E! News, commenting publicly for the first time since news broke of her baby brother's alleged bad behavior.

Julie, who lives in Arkansas with her husband, said in a phone interview that the media hasn't left her family alone since James became Public Apologizer No. 1 and that she didn't want to comment on his personal life.

"We keep our family life very private," Julie insisted. Their parents haven't said a word to the press, either, over the past few weeks.

Meanwhile, James must be grateful for whatever support he's been getting these days.

The 40-year-old star of the short-lived Jesse James Is a Dead Man was about a week into a 45-day program when he hightailed it out of an Arizona treatment facility this past weekend.

It's unclear where he is now, but maybe the home of a family member would be a good choice.

Jesse James tried his hand at Dangerous Reality TV, and with everything that's happened since, he probably wishes he was ice-road trucking right about now.
