Sandra and Jesse: Timeline of a Heartbreak

They were together at the Oscars and she was gone just a week later; a look at their whirlwind last week together

March is only half over, but it's already been one helluva ride for Sandra Bullock.

Just days after winning an Academy Award for The Blind Side, she was blindsided by a shocking magazine report that her by-all-appearances doting hubby, Jesse James, has been carrying on an 11-month affair with a San Diego-based tattoo model named Michelle McGee, professional name: Bombshell.

So what happened during the course of the last 10 days? Here's a quick rundown of an apparent marital meltdown.

March 7: A shimmering Bullock, 45, and beaming James, 40, are the picture of happiness as they walk the red carpet at the Kodak Theatre. After winning her Best Actress trophy, Bullock thanks her mom, hailing her as a "trailblazer," then gestures to her man, who tears up.

March 13: After lying relatively low and basking in her Oscar win, the couple turn up at Wal-Mart's home offices in Bentonville, Ark. Bullock was invited to speak to the retail giant's employees as part of a promotion for the DVD release of The Blind Side.  

"She was very funny and warm and had a great rapport with the audience," a source tells E! News.

There's no sign of trouble between them. (The above photo is the last known image of the couple together.)

"They joked onstage with each other and seemed like a normal couple. They were only on stage for 10 to 15 minutes," says the audience member.

Here's where things take a dramatic turn.

March 14: A week after her Oscar win and a day after they appear happy together in Arkansas, James allegedly texts McGee, writing "Just think'n bout u this morning," according to messages obtained by In Touch, which further describes their exchanges as "intimate."

March 15: Beware the Ides of March. Bullock moves out of the couple's SoCal home, per People. Mondays just happen to be when In Touch goes to press, meaning it's likely the magazine contacted reps for the couple, tipping them off to the bombshell allegations and precipitating Bullock's move. In an odd coincidence, James' beloved pooch Cinnabun also goes missing again.

March 17: Shortly after In Touch sends out a press release touting the cover story on James, it is announced that Bullock has canceled a trip to London to attend the U.K. premiere of The Blind Side due to "unforeseen personal reasons."

March 18: James is spotted taking his kids to school this morning—wearing his wedding ring. Hours later, he issues a mea culpa, fully taking the blame for "this whole situation" while maintaining that "the vast majority" of allegations are "untrue and unfounded."

James spent the day at his West Coast Choppers shop before returning to his Seal Beach home in his blacked-out Mercedes around 3:30 p.m.
