It could have been worse. Just ask Kiefer Sutherland.

Instead of a dress, the only indignity Boston-bred Matt Damon was forced to suffer on David Letterman after falling afoul of a Super Bowl bet was donning a New Orleans Saints jersey.

But so as to keep the Oscar nominee's embarrassment to a minimum, we redirect your attention to the latter half of his interview on tonight's Late Show in which he proclaims his odds of winning the Best Supporting Actor award this Sunday as "not a chance in hell."

But the audience, at least, didn't go home empty-handed: Damon made sure they, at a delighted Letterman's prodding, experienced the joy of his Matthew McConaughey impression, breaking out the crowd-pleaser one more time.

Just one suggestion to ensure the utmost accuracy for future appearances, Matt: Lose the shirt.
