Justin Timberlake is fast becoming a modern day Renaissance man...or Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Celebrity clothing lines can be legitimate and often lucrative businesses, but as for labels that actually have the fashion elite paying serious attention, well, those are few and far between. Or at least, they used to be.

Timberlake's William Rast showed at Cedar Lake last night during New York Fashion Week. Top editors like Anna Wintour turned up for the Americana-themed, denim-based line's presentation and flattering reviews are rolling in. New York magazine said he "classed up the operation" and used words like "sophisticated."

And Justin isn't the only A-lister making waves in the clothing industry...

Victoria Beckham and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are also being toasted.

"Hers is a celebrity-spring collection that, in its infancy at least, is working, as indicated by its tight and ultraimpressive range of retailers," Women's Wear Daily says of Posh's latest collection, continuing by calling it "genuinely beautiful" and "the perfect dash of spice."

The same trade publication calls the Olsens' The Row collection, "serious, sophisticated clothes. They kept it modest with 20 mostly black looks…that were striking in their simplicity."

Industry experts were also positive about Khloé, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian's line for Bebe.

As for Combs, he was the first celebrity designer to win a major award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America—Menswear Designer of the Year in 2004. Perhaps he won't be the last.
