Is Dr. Conrad Murray prepping for the perp walk?

Michael Jackson's personal doctor has returned to Los Angeles. His lawyer's firm says Murray wants "to be available for law enforcement."

However, attorney Edward Chernoff's spokeswoman tells E! News, "the D.A. has not shared with us any plan for Murray's surrender." They are prepared for an announcement on charges to come as soon as Wednesday or Thursday.

While a spokeswoman for the L.A. County District Attorney's Office declined to comment on whether any criminal charges are imminent, officials have been building an involuntary manslaughter case against Murray since the King of Pop's death last June 25.

Just a few weeks ago, Jackson's death certificate was amended to list the cause of death as "homicide," triggered by the overmedication of potent anesthetics. Around the same time, Murray hired high-powered SoCal-based criminal defender J. Michael Flanagan.

Murray has denied having a hand in Jackson's death.
