Forget The Departed. This case is more like The Deported.

Aretha Wilson, the woman accused of slashing Leonardo DiCaprio's pretty mug at a Hollywood party four years ago, has waived her rights to extradition. She will be sent from Toronto, where she's currently in custody for a similar incident, back to Los Angeles for a trial that could feature DiCaprio as its star witness.

"She is going to be coming back to L.A., but I just don't know when," says Los Angeles district attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison.

Wilson was accompanied by attorney Brian Greenspan in an extradition hearing before a Canadian judge.

No word yet on when U.S. marshals will come and get her. But sources close to the case say that because assault is relatively low on the extradition totem pole, it may be a while before she's shipped back to California.

Her consent, however, will make it easier for Canadian authorities to expedite the move. She was taken into custody after the court appearance.

The attack on the Blood Diamond star occurred on June 17, 2005. Wilson, a former model, snuck into a Hollywood Hills party hosted by Paris Hilton's sex-tape costar Rick Salomon and apparently mistook DiCaprio for an old boyfriend. She confronted him, and when he tried to leave, she allegedly assaulted him with a "glass object," thought to be a broken beer bottle.

The actor was taken to a hospital where he received nearly 20 stitches to close a deep gash near his ear. He filed a criminal complaint a few days later.

Authorities eventually charged Wilson with one count of assault with a deadly weapon, but before she could be arraigned, she fled and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

She finally turned up in her native Toronto. It was there two years ago that she was convicted of a similar crime, striking a boyfriend with a piece of glass. He later died.

Blair Berk, an attorney for DiCaprio, declined to comment. But DiCaprio has been cooperating with police and previously indicated he would testify against Wilson at trial.
