Traveling around the world with nothing but your wits? Not a problem. Navigating around Los Angeles without a car? Now there's a $1 million challenge.

CBS has unveiled the 11 new teams of globe-trotters set to compete in the 16th season of The Amazing Race when the Emmy-collecting reality hit returns Feb. 14. Detectives, dating models, cowboy brothers and high school sweethearts are among those set to rack up frequent-flier miles.

That is, if they remember to pack their bus pass.

While the show will kick off in Los Angeles, this time around the teams won't start off at the airport—instead, they'll be dropped somewhere in the city and be forced to make their way, relying only on public transportation, to LAX to begin their journey.

Hitting five continents and eight countries in total, the teams will first head to Chile, and their challenges will include reenacting a World War I battle in France, retracing the early days of the Beatles—which means a trip to Liverpool is presumably in the cards—and meeting up with what CBS mysteriously deems "one of the world's most infamous villains."

As always, Phil Keoghan will be on hand to shepherd the teams, who will be competing for a $1 million prize.

Here are the teams:

• Caite Upton, 20, model/actress; Brent Horne, 28, model/advertising (dating)
• Louis Stravato, 47, undercover detective; Michael Naylor, 45, undercover detective (colleagues)
• Steve Smith, 57, professional baseball coach/World Series champion coach; Allie Smith, 23, marketing (father and daughter)
