Casey Johnson's friends have been praying that she rest in peace, and this weekend they'll get that wish.

Close friends and family members gathered at Nicky Hilton's Los Angeles home for a private memorial service yesterday, a source who attended the "beautiful" event confirms to E! News.

The Johnson & Johnson heiress, who died Monday, is being transported to the East Coast where she'll be laid to rest for good.

"Sunday in New York there will be a funeral," the source says.

"The family has arranged for Casey to be flown back east to her final resting place," Jesse Derris, a spokesman for the family, tells E! News in a statement. "There will be a private funeral service later this week for the immediate family."

The Johnson family urges people to allow them privacy "as they mourn their loss. No further information will be released at this time."

Following an autopsy yesterday, the Los Angeles coroner said there were no signs of foul play, but the official cause of death wouldn't be announced for up to eight weeks, pending results from toxicology and microscopic tests.

For fans or otherwise moved by the 30-year-old's sudden death, donations can be made to the Casey Johnson Memorial at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International.

"Casey struggled throughout her life fighting this disease, and she would want to see all of us continue that fight on her behalf," Derris' statement concludes.
