Not even the NYPD wants to admit involvement with Jon Gosselin.

A police spokeswoman could not confirm that Gosselin's apparently off-again girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, filed a complaint against him after he allegedly pushed her during a fight on Dec. 20.

"It's being looked into," is all the cops would say.

But Glassman's attorney tells E! News that her client did indeed file a report, which will "speak for itself." (Once its existence is acknowledged into being, that is.)

Attorney Stephanie Ovadia refused to comment on reports that Gosselin got fired up after seeing a picture of his ex kissing another man, saying she didn't know if a photo prompted the dispute.

To which Gosselin is saying, What dispute? "False," a rep for the deposed reality-TV star said in response to the pushing part of the fight story.

"Jon is a lover, not a fighter," Gosselin's lawyer, Mark Heller, told the New York Post. "He's been rumored to steal a kiss here and there, but he has never been accused of landing a sucker punch."

O...K...

"As far as the nonsense of Jon being a lover, I am not going to feed into that," Ovadia told E!. "It's not relevant."

Glassman has thoroughly denied having anything to do with the trashing of Gosselin's New York apartment, explaining that in the process of moving out, all she did was collect what's hers and leave.

People is now reporting that Glassman and Gosselin are trying to reconcile their differences without any help from law enforcement.
