Apparently, Tyra Banks is following in Oprah Winfrey's footsteps in more ways than one.
The former supermodel has also decided to pull the plug on her talker, The Tyra Show.
"This will be the last season of The Tyra Show," she tells fans on her website. "I've been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past five years...[Your] love and support is always felt by me and it's given me the courage to take more exciting steps in my life. So I thank you for that."
The lights are set to go dim in spring 2010, at the conclusion of the fifth full season.
Instead of doing important things like donning a fat suit, revealing her true hair or interviewing people who believe they are vampires, Banks will be launching a New York-based film production company, Bankable Studios.
"My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are," she says. Among those projects will be movies, she promises.
And speaking of "fierce," the 14th cycle of America's Next Top Model kicks off in February.
In case you forgot, Winfrey announced last month that she'll be shutting down The Oprah Winfrey Show as we know it on Sept. 9, 2011.
