Maybe she studied PR strategy at Tool Academy.

Jaimee Grubbs, the first woman to admit to steaming it up with Tiger Woods via text message and otherwise, has offered a heartfelt, syndicated apology to the golf star's scorned missus, Elin Nordegren.

"I couldn't describe how remorseful that I am to have hurt her family and her emotionally," the 24-year-old cocktail waitress and former VH1 show participant said in an interview with Extra.

But then Grubbs stopped being nice, and started getting real.

"I wouldn't have pursued him if he didn't pursue me," she added. "I mean, when he did, I just figured he was single, and I didn't think to ask."

And by the time she found out the incredibly famous man she was seeing was married, they were "already in a relationship," Grubbs said.

The at-times willingly topless young lady says that, even though she counts about 20 sexual encounters with Woods over three years, the two "very much had a relationship," and they were last together Oct. 18.

"We did talk very often. We did talk about my jobs or whatever it may be," Grubbs said. "He was always interested in how my life was going and every holiday he would say, 'I hope you have fun with your family, and I hope things are going well.'

"If it wasn't me, it was going to be other girls," she added. "I did care about him—I didn't do it for superficial reasons. I didn't do it to purposely hurt [Elin]."

In fact, she herself was torn up by the news that it appears there have been a lot of "other girls."

"Seeing that was devastating. It hurts," Grubbs said, particularly the news about Rachel Uchitel, the first member of Tiger's gaggle of alleged girlfriends to be outed by the tabloids and one of the few to deny any romantic involvement with him.

But to this day, at least, Grubbs thinks that Tiger and Elin should try to work things out.

"He's an amazing guy despite everything that is coming forth," she said. (We presume she didn't follow that sentiment by making a "call me" gesture to the camera.)

"Love is obviously a very strong word for me to even use," Grubbs said when asked whether she had been in love with Woods. "I wouldn't necessarily say that I didn't love him. But I couldn't...I did never say that I did love him. I didn't let myself get that far.

"I knew we had a respect between the both of us, that we cared deeply for each other, and we did very much trust each other. But the words were never there. Nothing about the relationship was fake that I felt."

We bet Tiger's wife has a few words for her.
