There's no leg-sweeping allowed when Chan takes Jaden Smith under his wing in the upcoming remake

Ralph Macchio had Reseda. Jaden Smith gets the Great Wall of China.

Assuming the studio didn't commission a body double (you know, like on the Pretty Woman poster), that's Will Smith's 11-year-old son showing major flexibility in a scene from the upcoming remake of The Karate Kid.

In the action drama, due in theaters next year, Jackie Chan takes on the role of the sage Mr. Han, who will teach Jaden's Dre a thing or two, not only about martial artistry...but about life.

Of course, watching the still baby-faced Chan open a can of whoop-ass on the bullies for the first time won't be quite as much fun as seeing the far tamer-looking Pat Morita do the same in 1984.

But no matter what year it is, there are always a couple of Cobra Kai types who need to be shown what's what, so we may as well let the next generation have at it.
