Runway to Red Carpet: Does Shakira Strike Gold?

You'd think Shakira would have learned her lesson after the Video Music Awards (remember when she showed up in the same Balmain as Pink?) But the "She Wolf" singer still doesn't know how to pick an original dress for awards shows.

The Hervé Léger pailette mini Shakira performed in at the American Music Awards was already worn by Jennifer Lopez in Miami, who styled her sparkler with big hair and smoldering eye makeup.

Still, you gotta admit the Latina looks muy caliente and way hotter than the skinny-minny model walking the runway in the dress's original outing. Plus, we prefer the modified warrior princess armband version to the single shoulder '80s flashback.

Or should Shakira shake her hips into another dress?
