Kristen Stewart traded in her signature Converse this week and hit the New Moon red carpet in a long Oscar de la Renta strapless gown. Maybe you noticed?
So how did her knock-out look come together? We asked the famed designer himself, plus Stewart's stylist, Tara Swennen...
Stewart was looking for something "dressy, not bling-y" for the premiere, Swennen tells E! "This dress was great, because it was sheer elegance with an edgy twist."
Staying true to her rocker style, K.Stew eschewed over-the-top jewelry and sported a few simple, black diamond bracelets borrowed from jeweler Neil Lane.
"She wanted to do something a little different," says Swennen, who instantly thought of the de la Renta dress.
The white, strapless tulle gown, from the designer's Spring 2010 collection, was shown on the runway in New York City this September. It's covered in chiffon embroidery and strips of organza and black beading, which gives it a glistening effect.
"Kristen is a very talented actress," de la Renta tells E! "I think she looked beautiful last night, and very feminine."
