Déjà vu.

During Jon Gosselin's Sunday night appearance at New York City's West Side Jewish Center, the world's most famous reality dad had yet another public epiphany, alongside his newest companion, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.

Everything got covered during Gosselin's forum, Gawker reports, including his excuse for arriving 40 minutes late. When he got over his own tardiness, he shared on his desire to be out of the spotlight, his rumored split with Hailey Glassman and his request for forgiveness from his estranged wife, Kate.

"I think I'm just misunderstood. I'm not a fame seeker. Everyday I look in the mirror and I wonder [why I'm famous]," the reality star explained at the public event. "I don't sing. I don't dance. I'm not a Nobel Peace Prize winner. I just had eight kids and I had a show on TLC."

TLC fame or not, Gosselin says he in no way condones his actions over the past few months.

"Half the stuff I've done, if I look at my moral compass, I shouldn't have done," he said. "I know that, but I did it anyway. It's like fame canceled out conviction. I didn't grow up this way. But I have to keep on going, keep on working and providing." And in regard to his children, Gosselin stated: "I know I'll have to explain my actions."

One month ago Gosselin appeared on Larry King Live, pronouncing his desire to man-up.

This time around, Gosselin  spoke of reaching out to the mother of his eight children. "I want to apologize to Kate in private. I'll apologize to her for openly having relationships in the public eye. That was a huge mistake, because if she would've done that to me, I would have been extremely pissed off," Jon explained. "And now that I think about it, it was a very wrong thing to do. I definitely regret it."

Kate's not the only one angry with him. While Gosselin denied the two have had a full-on split, Glassman and her beau are spending some time apart.

"Hailey and I decided to calm things down until the divorce, just until the divorce," he said. "I don't want to ruin things with Hailey like I did with Kate. We just need to slow things down."

Prior to the Sunday night appearance, Gosselin released another lengthy statement to Entertainment Tonight addressing the recent scrutiny surrounding their relationship.

"I will forever love Hailey. I see how all this has truly hurt her. She has not been happy and hates the media light that she has been put in. She is in no way a home wrecker.

"I do love her and care deeply," continues Gosselin. "She has made me realize I can love myself and just need to be more honest. I am taking things day by day."

Perhaps taking a break from Halloween festivities, Hailey was tweeting about the split late Saturday night.

"I just want to thank everyone for their support. I was brutally honest and put everything out on the table infront of the entire world," she wrote. "Now if i'm disliked and hated on fine. At least I know in my heart I spoke the truth so now im fine with your judgements."

Lastly, she admits she's taken on her own equivalent to Papa G's rabbi, although hers is of a decidedly different ilk.

"2 be honest I got a lot of insight from The Insider n Star Jones is a wonderful person who I admire 4 always being strong," she tweeted. "Much <3 at Star."
