Tell-All Author: Angelina = Liz Taylor All Over Again!

There's a new tell-all in town, which is sort of like saying Lindsay Lohan is close to the end.

But, look, this one's worth picking up: Über-talented Hollywood writer and expert William Mann just came out with How to Be a Movie Star: Elizabeth Taylor in Hollywood, and Mann tells us personally who is best filling Taylor's infamous man-eating, glittery actress shoes today: Angelina Jolie.

Now, let's look at this as the good students of slutty Hollywood history that we are:

Elizabeth Taylor had, what 257 husbands? Jolie's had two...so far. Guess that means Angie's not only going to dump Brad (as I've long predicted), go on to marry a plethora of other studs, and maybe chicks, too, but—like Taylor did with Richard Burton—she'll come back 'round to get back together with Brad all over again. Cannot wait!

But hold on a horny sec: Is Mann secretly trying to tell us something by comparing Taylor to the wildly free sexual creature that is A.J., lover to both men and women? Yikes, could this be code talk for Taylor perhaps being bisexual herself?

"Elizabeth liked her men," replied Mann rather evenly, if not with a bit of a chuckle. "She was a huge flirt."

But, based on the premise of your book, you're saying Angelina Jolie is the best movie-star student of Taylor today?

She's the closest. The problem is, the others are missing one ingredient: authenticity. You have to be real and honest. That's what people are missing today.

How do you mean?

Elizabeth Taylor's going to last. The Lindsays and the Parises are not. But, Angelina Jolie—you can't take your eyes off of her.

OK, who's the worst student of Liz today?

Britney.

Why?

Everything she does seems utterly calculated. Or Jessica Simpson. They're so transparent.

What about Taylor's involvement with Michael Jackson, do you cover that?

I don't go to those years. But, you know, in many ways, Elizabeth Taylor never grew up. I think both she and Michael were alike in that way.

I think Elizabeth made a distinct decision with Michael that not only was she going to believe what she wanted to believe about him, but they both got robbed of their childhoods, so there was always that banding together.

I won't agree or disagree with you.

Did you interview Elizabeth herself?

There was an obligatory attempt. I got a nice note from Dame Elizabeth saying she didn't do those types of interviews anymore.

Too bad. I've interviewed her—she's a salty riot. You would have loved her.

I'm sure.
