Talk about terrific timing.

Roman Polanski—he of the 1976 sex case and current drama—has earned a star on the Walk of Fame in Warsaw, Poland.

In fact, he is one of only 12 "giants of film," according to the AFP, to be included in the public walkway in the city's center. He joins Marilyn Monroe, Woody Allen and Penélope Cruz.

The 76-year-old is quoted on the trodden plaque. "Nothing is too shocking to me," it reads.
