Lamar Odom to the World: My Wedding Was Real
His honeymoon on hold, Lamar Odom was back at work today as the Lakers kicked off their preseason with media day.
But no one was talking hoops. Instead, Odom was endlessly pestered about his quick courtship of and marriage to Khloé Kardashian.
"It was real," Odom insisted to reporters.
"It's crazy how perception works in America when you're looking at things from the outside. 'It [the wedding] might be off, it might be on.' But anybody that was there will tell you that it was a beautiful event and it was real."
Kardashian, 24, and Odom, 29, also returned to Twitter today: She talked about the big day and thanked fans for their well wishes, and he showed off the Lakers' NBA championship trophy.
After the media session, Odom was spotted picking up a necklace, presumably a bauble for his bride...
Meanwhile, the happy couple fielded a big congrats from Kardashian's fellow E!-based newlywed, Kendra Wilkinson.
"I just wanted to wish both of them a congratulations and let the newlyweds know how happy i am for them!!!" she blogged. "There's nothing more special than being able to spend every day with the person you love and they're so lucky to have found that.
"I'll definitely have to give Khloé a few tips about being an athlete's wife lololol.
"CONGRATULATIONS KHLOÉ AND LAMAR!!!! I wish you all the happiness in the world."
