Which phone call does a TV show runner fear more? (1) "Surprise...we're canceling your show!" or (2) "Surprise...I'm pregnant!"
Obviously, no one wants their series axed. But no matter how welcome that bundle of joy might be, an expecting actress presents all manner of complications for her show's writers.
And the clock is ticking.
Some brave producers scrap their original storylines and incorporate the pregnancy into the plot, but most rely on props and costumes for camouflage.
TV's veritable baby boom is calling for even more ingenuity in fooling its mothers' natures, so who deserves the most props?
