Kimmel-Silverman Breakup No Laughing Matter

The next time Sarah Silverman makes a video about which celebrity she's f--king, Jimmy Kimmel may not find it quite so funny.

The late-night talk-show host and the bawdy object of his affection have separated after five funnybone-tickling, viral video-goofing years, E! News has confirmed.

"Jimmy and Sarah are no longer dating...and will have no further comment," Lewis Kay and Amy Zvi, the respective reps for Kimmel and Silverman, said in a joint statement today.

No reason was given for the split, first reported in Vanity Fair's celebrity blog, of all places. (Silverman graced the magazine's funnywomen cover back in April.)

The breakup comes just a few months after Kimmel, 40, and Silverman, 37, celebrated their five-year anniversary, an occasion marked by mutual public humiliation when Silverman unleashed her ode to "f--king Matt Damon" delivered during one of her many frequent—though we're guessing soon-to-be less frequent—guest appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! He retaliated with a star-studded televised confession of his own, involving a form of newly legalized love with Damon's BFF Ben Affleck.

Kimmel and Silverman met back in 2001, when Silverman performed at a Comedy Central roast of Hugh Hefner, for which Kimmel served as roastmaster.

"Jimmy Kimmel, everyone," Silverman said after Kimmel's introduction. "He's fat and has no charisma. Watch your back, Danny Aiello."

And they said it wouldn't last...Too bad they were right.
