Uh Oh! Are Disney Fans Turning on Miley?

Oh no! Are Disney fans turning on Miley Cyrus? Today in the 5,000-person exhibition hall at the Anaheim Convention Center, she received a less than warm reception from attendees of the D23 Expo for fans and press.

Appearing in teensy shorts and tall boots, Miley performed the Hannah Montana song "The Climb" and talked up her new movie, The Last Song, which comes out in January.

The flick was written by novelist Nicholas "The Notebook" Sparks—with the lead role tailored specifically for Miley. "I just got the book today!" she squealed to the audience of about 5,000 big-time Disney fans.

Now, no one booed the tween offstage or anything, but here's how we saw it...

When John Travolta and Nicolas Cage appeared earlier in the day, they both received standing ovations from the megacrowd. And Miley, well, didn't. The audience showed the pint-size diva cordial respect throughout her song, but during the panels' opening clip show of Disney treasured and new classics (Nemo, Pretty Woman, Splash), Hannah Montana's toothy mug would appear and the crowd would go noticeably silent.

Maybe the chill in the air was because Miley has been distancing herself from her wholesome Disney-produced image in this past year?

Between her pole-dancing, topless snaps and racy magazine covers Miley's been acting as though she's gotten all the mileage she wanted out of her squeaky-clean persona and wants to move in a sexier, more adult direction. But will the fans follow?

What do you guys think—are Miley and Disney still a good fit?
