David Beckham: Kicks It for Schwarzenegger

David Beckham PacificCoastNews.com

David Beckham loves living in California so much he's now helping promote the Golden State to tourists.

The soccer stud, 34, was on the beach in Santa Monica this week shooting a spot for a new ad campaign for the California Travel & Tourism Commission that will launch next month in the U.S., Canada and Becks' native Great Britain...

"They were filming him kicking soccer balls into the ocean," an eyewitness said of the late Thursday afternoon shoot.

He was not wearing his Galaxy uniform, but was dressed in a casual shirt and cargo shorts. We prefer him sans uni, and sans pretty much everything else for that matter! But if you need to see him in his Galaxy colors, you can see him play today when they take on Chivas USA here in L.A.

After Beckham wrapped, he signed autographs and posed for photos with bystanders who flocked over to see him in action. Earlier in the day, he and wife Victoria Beckham were spotted taking their kids to lunch in Beverly Hills.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger reportedly asked Beckham to take part in the tourism campaign, which also features Rob Lowe, Vanessa Williams, and Dog Whisperer star Cesar Millan.

The television spots will premiere on Sept. 21.
