Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour has The September Issue, a documentary about the making of her fashion mag's biggest issue, coming out soon. That means she has to go on Letterman and promote it to us plebs, the poor dear.
But despite the Devil Wears Prada rep—or as last night would have it, the "lukewarm royalty with a whip from outer space" wears Carolina Herrera—she was actually quite charming...
Wintour made fun of herself, wearing her trademark oversize sunglasses for her entrance, and she actually laughed, handled Dave's question about her being a terror to work for and gave him a hard time right back.
There were still traces of her reported icy and scary demeanor, but at least we know she has some sense of humor about herself.
