Michael Douglas "Devastated" by Son's Drug Bust

After nearly a week of silence, Michael Douglas is finally speaking out about son Cameron Douglas' arrest.

"The family is devastated and very disappointed in Cameron's recent behavior," the Oscar winner and ex-wife Diandra said in a statement to People. "Any family who has dealt with substance abuse knows how devastating it can be."

Things don't seem to be looking up anytime soon. Cameron is now being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center after girlfriend Kelly Sott allegedly attempted to bring him a heroin-filled electric toothbrush, at his behest. Sott is now charged with drug smuggling and is being held without bail.

If convicted on the drug-trafficking charges, the younger Douglas faces a minimum of 10 years in prison, with a possible life sentence.
