For those about to rock, we advise you to invest in some padding.

In the wake of Steven Tyler's fall from grace the stage at a concert in South Dakota this week, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry said this morning the fate of the band's current tour is up in the air.

"We still don't know if we're going to keep the tour up or what," he told Illinois' WXRX radio. "It's breaking my heart."

Still, better a broken heart than a broken shoulder.

While neither Tyler nor Aerosmith has released an official statement on the 61-year-old rocker's condition, they apparently forgot to include Perry's wife on the keep-schtum memo.

Yesterday afternoon, Billie Perry took to Twitter to update us on the singer's state:

"He hit his head and back. No concusion, stitches in head n back near shoulder. Broken shoulder. Yes he is very sore. We were all worried."

According to the fairer Perry, most of Aerosmith has already regrouped back in Boston: Her husband is making his way back, albeit stopping at radio stations along the way in order to promote the group's newest single, and Tyler's location—per Billie, he will either be paying or receiving a visit from his doctor by the end of the day—remains unknown.

At least until her next tweet.
