When people say they worship at the altar of their favorite famous hottie, they typically don't mean literally.

Not so for Shia LaBeouf.

Fans of the Transformers star have created the Church of Shiantology, complete with the star's face superimposed on iconic religious works of art. And nothing is sacred.

The Disturbia actor disturbingly stands on the mountaintop, gets cradled by (a Shia-faced) Madonna and appears repeatedly on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Oh, and apparently he took over for both Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner in The Bodyguard. (Yeah, we're not really sure why this image landed on the holy site either).

And here we thought the Robert Pattinson fans were legion.

You can catch all your favorite stars in the Big Picture gallery, but we don't exactly recommend treating them as gods.
