There was a time when Winona Ryder was the queen of the manic pixie girls. She'd accent her willowy figure with formfitting, tasteful couture on carpets and covers, and we'd eat it up. Heck, she wouldn't even need Johnny Depp back to reclaim that spritely crown, so why on earth is she steppin' out in this mournful near-muumuu?

Winona has nailed some terrific morbid movie roles in her time, but wearing a loose, lace-tinged death shroud to Italy's Giffoni International Film Festival isn't one of them.

Cinch the drape, muss up the hair, put on stilettos and come back to the world of the living, Winona. Miss ya!
