Mr. and Mrs. Cannon Fire Up Manhattan

Call it the emancipation of the Cannons.
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon stepped out publicly for the first time as husband and wife Thursday night in New York, making an appearance at the party for Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World.
The newlyweds arrived at the bash, held at Lincoln Center, around 9:30 p.m. and eschewed the red carpet press, instead making their way inside to allow Mimi adequate prep time for her 10:30 p.m. performance.
Cannon, 27, and Carey, 38, showed off their blingtastic wedding rings, which the Grammy winner matched with her extremely formfitting, short 'n' shimmery dress.
The duo stuck around long enough to pose alongside Oprah BFF Gayle King, music producer Antonio "L.A." Reid and Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons, before continuing on to a postparty pit stop at eatery du jour the Waverly Inn.
Next week will bring yet another first for Carey, namely her first televised appearance as a married woman. Well, a twice-married woman.
She's set to tape an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday. The episode will air on Tuesday.

although this is quite odd and i wud of never imagined nick and mariah together she seem very happy....although i never knew of sum1 gettn married within a month but shes happy and thats all that matters....nick seemed a lil rude and didnt wanna speak up on anything this is wat i dnt get abt celebs every1 already knows abt it so y do they still deny it and keep it in hiding thats ur wife now so y not spread the news to the world aint no hiding that

When I first read this, my jaw literally dropped!! What in the world is she thinking? He is still a kid! I remember when he was on Nickelodeon! The age difference doesn't really bother me * I've seen worse in Hollywood. It's the MATURITY difference that gets me!! She is sooooooo on a higher plane of class, essence, and distinguishment than he is. He's still doing "Wild'n Out" comedy show for God's sake! She's the TOP SELLING FEMALE ARTIST OF ALL TIME (literally * look it up), and of all the boys, uh, I mean, men in the world, she picks this dude???? Earth to Mimi * You CAN do better, believe or not. why is she wearing sunglass at night? she always wears sunglasses when it's obviously not needed. she's so stupid and annoying. i saw her on good morning america and she was acting like she was on crack. i can't stand her. she can't sing anymore and her music sucks. what happened to the grammy award singer when she first arrived on scene? she was so humble and her voice rocked. now she looks like an overcommercialized bimbo and her voice is so raspy. she acts dumb, too.

haha omdz this is so funi, nick is only using mariah 4 one thing. this is such a odd couple, are they really in love? or is mariah desperate to marry someone because shes lonely or of her age. shes so beautiful she can do so much better. BUT they both dont seem so happy, "how was the wedding." Mariah- "very nice." im sure they could say more things about the wedding. Ohwell each to their own. gd luck 2 them in the future, we'll just have to wait and see what happens next.
