I concur, "Lost" lost me in season Three, it just keeps going around, and around, with no definitive answers. The acting if fine, but the writers need to realize you can't keep changing directions just to be "clever".

Only those with short attention spans would find Lost involuted. I'm sure when the producers of Barney makes a new show they'll be all over it. Lost is one of the few shows (and only drama) that I watch on commercial television. Now Locke's connection with the island is beginning to make sense.

Lost has just turned into a mishmash of random events. I gave up last year.

If you gave up on LOST last year, you must have a lot of free time since you're not only reading but posting on an article about a show you no longer watch. It's not a mishmash nor is it random if you're actually paying attention.

I have mixed feelings about LOST. The episodes nowadays are not as intense as when the survivors were scared of everything and before they all know about the "others". But now it's neat to see what happens in the future. I still love the mystery behind the show and I will be sad once they finally reveal the answers behind all of our questions (if they ever do!) As far as last night's show... what the heck are Claire and Jack's dad doing in that cabin????

Claire and Jack's dad are there but they are both dead. Remember also the doctor washed up on shore dead, with slit throat, last week. Then this week he's still alive on the boat and we see him get his throat slit. It all has something to do with the island's magnetic force and the time jumping the mind can do (like what happened to Desmond).

How do we know Claire is dead? "Dead" and "alive" seem to be as relative on the island as time. By the way, don't forget that "Jack's dad" is also Claire's dad. I agree the show has gotten too convoluted, and there is too much violence, to care about the characters anymore, but I'm still holding on in the faint hope that somehow it will all come out alright in the end.

to everyone who gave up and believe lost is too crazy...i was one of them. i gave up when we had to wait weeks for the next episode. i did however borrow the DVD sets and pay attention...give it a second chance if you can...its completely worth it for episodes like last night!

The show is still really good....However the content each week is getting less and less....there are so many commercials now, it's like watching a half hour episode....this is more annoying than the producers stretching the story out for so long, and now they are using advertising to aid them in stretching it out long enough to make another season....just conclude the friggin thing already!

I haven't given up but stay so confused * what day is it, what year is it, are we in the past, the present or the future? Who is a friend, who is the enemy?, etc. I lost "Lost" during the long break. I make an effort to watch it each week and fall asleep about half way through. After last night's confusing episode (Locke as a child?) * I told myself, give up and watch the DVDs. At least when you watch the DVD, you can stay focused on the story without having to wait a week (or often longer) for the next episode. The writers said they would answer questions this season * I haven't seen too many questions answered yet.

You need mental stamina to watch LOST. Not everyone has it, as evidenced above. I absolutely love the show. It is like a big mosaic that we are getting piece by piece and it is slowly taking shape of the bigger picture. And I, for one, cannot wait to see the bigger picture. The writing is phenomenal. I will be LOST until the end **

I actually think that LOST has found new and stronger footing with the flash forwards and so many people all coming together on this island. The story is really being moved along and we're getting more and more of the big picture and less of the "sketches" that we had so much of in Seasons 1 and part of Season 2. The acting remains top notch and I find so many of the stories compelling. I'm very excited to see what is going to come next. And everything is going to matter and come full circle. The island is going to find its balance again * and everyone is going to play their part. I think that everyone has done a fantastic job with this show and it remains one of the top 10 on the air right now. I agree that you need mental stamina * but also a love for puzzle solving **
