Is Britney moving to Encino?

The pop star, driven by her bodyguard, spent Wednesday afternoon there looking at a 7,300 square foot house, including five bedrooms and six and a half baths. Currently listed for $5.96 million, the Mediterranean-style home has vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, fountains, a hot tub, a pool with spa, wine cellar, indoor and outdoor dining rooms, a family room, a spiral staircase and a designer kitchen with island and stainless-steel appliances.

Spears spent 45 minutes with a realtor carefully looking at the house, which is not far from Kevin Federline's place in Tarzana. But there could be a wrinkle in the plan.

She can't buy this on her $1,500 a week allowance and will need to get her dad's permission to authorize this purchase. Her father, Jamie, along with a co-conservator, is currently in charge of Spears' assets until July 31.

Prior to being placed under the care of a conservatorship, Spears had an expensive habit of purchasing properties, including her $10 million-plus Malibu estate and her current mansion atop Beverly Hills.

I think that she is doing a great job of getting herself together and she should have control of her life back.

We have absolutely no way of knowing if Britney's more subdued behavior is due to changes she herself has made or changes she's been forced to make- which means we don't know if the conservatorship should end or not. The fact that she emerged in the Bally's gym in nothing but a towel last week suggests she isn't doing as well as it may seem (which isn't unusual for people with bipolar disorder). Although I do think it's ridiculous that her father gets to pay himself ($2500/week) more than her own ($1500/week) weekly allowance.

It is ridiculous that he gets paid to take care of his own child. Granted * she is an adult and he has to make some sort of living and he can't do that holding her hand through life...but its his own child!

annoying that he gets paid money for trying to take control of her life. throughout her entire career her parents have being hanging around for handouts they were just waiting for something to happen to her.

Britney is no longer a child. Her father had to quit his job to look after her. In L.A. $2500 a week doesn't go very far. My husband makes about that and we are not living the high life. If they had to hire aides and nurses for her, the bill would be way more than $2500 a week.

He's a conservator, which should be paid, and actually $2500/week is not what most conservators get (ask a lawyer!); and if it's working, who cares!

There is no point to how anyone feels about Britney's dad. It's obviously been the right thing for her, and she is getting herself together. Sometimes people need help, regardless of age or status. Give it a rest. Hopefully she's realizing that she'll eventually be sharing custody with Kevin and wants to be closer. That's a very rational thing to do. It's really nice to see that her life is moving in a positive direction. She's an adorable, talented young woman. Just love her. Hugs!

I think it is greay taht Britney is getting her life back on track. I think her dad definately played a big role in it, becuase with out his strict rules she might be parading around in a pink wig still. I am really excited for her second appearence on HIMYM and hope she continues to get better! Can't wait for her comeback!!

i'm so glad to see britney getting her life back together, she deserves to have a life that is full enjoy life with her sons, she really doesn't need a boyfriend right now she just needs to concentrate on her future and her little boys and also her mom dad ,and JAMIE LYNN, i would say right now that BRITNEY is getting back on track, i can't wait to see her on may 12th. on HIMYM i seen the first one she really looked cute * i just wish the very best for her,

i think that DEBBIE the one on e-online news is very silly acting and her hair looks awful, she does not look good as a silver hair woman, i watch your show and i seen her in her purple dress and that hair was like a cheap looking wig, she needs to grow her hair back out and change the color of it go a little blonder or darker she is not made for bangs and short hair she is to tall *
