Under normal circumstances, Gary Dourdan probably wouldn't want his private emails posted on the Internet. But in the wake of his recent arrest after being found asleep at the wheel, parked on a California roadside near Palm Springs with drugs in his car, he probably won't squawk too much about a leaked email apologizing to fans and revealing new details of the incident. The email from Dourdan to pal Shaun Robinson of Access Hollywood read in part:

“Obviously I certainly wish I hadn’t been responsible for so many people getting to the festival’s VIP area [referring to the Coachella music festival, which he had attended just prior to the incident]. And the after-party, it ran me ragged, but I’m glad pulling over did prevent a DUI. I recommend not driving at all, but a little kip [nap] is always good (on either side of the road LOL).”

Dourdan's email also stated, “I am blessed that the [arresting] Sgt. realized that the luggage carrying whatever they found was not mine and that my tests have been coming back negative. I’ve been happy to cooperate in any way to clear myself and go on with my blessed life.”

Although Dourdan won't return to CSI after this season, we're happy to hear that he's focused on the bigger picture and trying to move forward in a positive way. Case closed? Let's hope so.
