Akon's baby mama knows the singer has pretty decent upper-body strength. So why doesn't he throw a little money her way?

Well, perhaps he will, but according to an attorney for Sara Coleman, they're having the darndest time tracking Akon down to serve him with their demands.

"My client does not wish to comment on the paternity matter," attorney Patrick Baghdaserians said in a statement to E! News. "Ms. Coleman wants to ensure privacy and a amicable resolution. My client's goal is to resolve this matter forthwith without media intervention."

Meanwhile, Akon appears to be getting his legal ducks in a row before he responds to Coleman's claims.

"Akon has taken responsibility and has been extremely cooperative and proactive in handling this private matter," the Konvicted artist's rep told TMZ. "Paternity was only established just over 30 days ago. Since the case was filed outside of Georgia jurisdiction, where he is a legal resident, Akon is currently in the process of engaging counsel in California and will continue to handle this matter in a timely manner."

The R&B hustla's had practice. He told Blender in 2007 that he was a father of five, courtesy of three women.
