Julia Roberts Grills Letterman, Declares Him King
After taking over the interrogating, Julia Roberts took a side in the latest late-night talk-show battles.
Last night's Late Show started off innocuously enough, with Roberts chatting up David Letterman about his recent wedding.
"I don't know if I can look you in the eye anymore," she said at the beginning. "Last time I saw you, you were single and then I like hypnotized you in my white suit or something and you went off and married Regina!"
Indeed, the p.m. talker married longtime love Regina Lasko two days later, on March 19, 2009.
Then Roberts started asking the tough questions.
"So she's Mrs. Letterman?"
"No, she's Dave," he responded.
"You are so much funnier than other people who talk at this time of the evening," she mused.
There you have it. Guess you can add her to the Letterman supporter list just under Howard Stern.
