Reborn Speidi Welcomed Back to Celebrity Fold, but Heidi's Tummy Takes Them Out

Well, minus the emergency hospitalization, the lawsuit threats and errant talk of torture...the big conundrum turned into a whole lot of nothing.

Heidi and Spencer Pratt were pretty much unanimously welcomed back into the fold on Monday's two-hour I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! after emerging seemingly unscathed from a night spent in the Lost Chamber.

"No surrender, no retreat," Spencer could be heard screaming as the two settled down for a long summer's nap.

"The only way we got through was praying, and Jesus delivered us," Heidi said afterward.

But Speidi and the raging case of faith they returned to camp with didn't win over everybody.

"I don't believe him for a second," newcomer Daniel Baldwin said of Spencer. "This is the wolf in sheep's clothing."

Even Stephen Baldwin, a born-again Christian himself, thought Spencer was exhibiting a "spiritual hemorrhoid" in his zeal.

But though the Speidi drama abated for a bit, as you know, Heidi was hospitalized Saturday following her night in the spider shack, setting off a war of words between Spencer (who may sue), NBC (which will sue back), Stephanie Pratt (who claimed Heidi was tortured) and the couple's publicist (who says no torture occured).

Turns out Mr. and Mrs. Pratt were engaging in a spiritual fast—meaning, when Heidi came down with intense stomach pain and started vomiting, she hadn't eaten since the night before and, according to her fellow contestants, she wasn't drinking enough water, either.

Calling it the "best decision of [their] lives," Spencer said they were off to the hospital. So they left. Again.

Heidi's out of the hospital now after being treated, and she and Spencer are still in Costa Rica while she awaits further tests. One of the emergency medicine docs suspects either a gastric ulcer or gastritis.

Then camp leader Lou Diamond Phillips informed his fellow celebs tonight that Speidi would not, in fact, be returning.

"They are no longer a part of this competition," the Young Guns star said. "They are gone."

Despite the addition of Daniel Baldwin last week, the I'm a Celebrity ranks continued to thin at a rapid clip as Frances Callier, the remaining half of Frangela, opted to follow evicted sister Angela Shelton back to civilization.

Turns out NBC—surprise, surprise—had anticipated such an event. Heidi's sis, Holly Montag, is coming aboard Wednesday.
