Weekend Showdown: Fergie vs. Eastwood?!

In what might be Showdown's strangest face-off to date, Fergie, film legend Clint Eastwood and the first-ever handheld version of Rock Band: Unplugged are all up for grabs this week.

Let's be honest—this is a battle of epic proportions.

The Black Eyed Peas have "Boom Boom Pow"ed their way back on the scene after waiting nearly five years to release a follow-up to the 2005 megahit Monkey Business. But don't worry, the title is not a sign of things to come. The E.N.D. just stands for "Energy Never Dies," which is the way BEP describes the sound on their new album. Overall? The E.N.D. will give us the hottest dance tracks of the year.

The Eastwood-directed Gran Torino was an awards season fave about an old Korean War vet stuck in his prejudiced ways. Eastwood plays the lead, a man who finds himself developing a complicated relationship with the Hmong family next door. Long story short, this movie is about gangs, guns and that prized 1972 Gran Torino.

And finally, a portable version of Rock Band: Unplugged is hitting stores this week. What else can we say? It's a blast at home, so you may as well take it along on your summer vacay. Now you really can be a rock star wherever you go.
