Want to Audition for American Idol Season Nine?

We might not know for sure what the judges table is going to look like for season nine of American Idol, but we do know where wannabe singers can wait in line for hours in the summer heat as they hope to snag that golden ticket to Hollywood.

The powers that be behind Fox's biggest moneymaker have announced the cities and some dates for the next round of auditions. Here they are...

American Idol audition dates:

  • June 14, Boston, Gillette Stadium
  • June 18, Altanta, Georgia Dome
  • June 30, Los Angeles, Rose Bowl (Pasadena, actually)
  • July 9, Orlando, Fla., Amway Arena
  • July 14, Denver, Invesco Field at Mile High
  • TBD, Chicago, TBD
  • TBD, Dallas, TBD

Here are the rules: Contestants must be between the ages of 16 and 28 as of June 12, 2009 and be eligible to work in the U.S.
