American Express: Courtney Love Is Unbalanced

Courtney Love is so big on plastic, she may have forgotten all about the paper.

American Express on Wednesday accused the alt-rocker of spending herself into quite the hole, saying Love owes $352,059.67 in unpaid charges and fees on her AmEx Gold, Centurion and Platinum Cards, according to a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.

Love has "failed and refused to make payments" and, in the meantime, her line of credit has been suspended, the complaint states.

The Twitter-abusing loving Celebrity Skin purveyor, who has not yet responded to this suit, was sued last year by business management and accounting firm London & Co. for allegedly failing to fork over 5 percent of the proceeds when she unloaded a portion of Nirvana's publishing rights for $19.5 million.

Love's attorney said in a statement to TMZ: "AmEx knows the claim has no merit. We have told them this for a long time. AmEx's law policies allowed fraudulent transactions to be charged to my client's card."
