Just when they thought she was in, they pulled her back out.

In what is likely a surprise to no one, Amy Winehouse has canceled plans to perform in London next week in what would have been her first U.K. appearance of the year.

The concert, scheduled to take place May 31, was one of many gigs planned to celebrate the 50th anniversary of her label, Island Records. It was due to be the final show of the weeklong celebration.

"Amy Winehouse's management has regretfully announced that Amy and her band will no longer be performing at the Shepherd's Bush Empire," her rep said in a statement.

"Amy would like to apologize to her fans who bought tickets for the shows."

No reason was given for the cancellation, though yesterday Britain's Press Association reported that Winehouse was taken to the hospital with chest pains.

While her hospitalization came in the wake of a fainting spell, the singer's management claimed she was simply dehydrated and released shortly thereafter.

It's the second time this month the singer's rep has blamed a fainting spell for a doctor's visit. It's also the second time this month that the Grammy winner has backed out of a performance.

Winehouse prematurely ended a concert in her adopted home of St. Lucia, blaming poor weather conditions.

Refunds will be made available to ticket holders for the homecoming show.

No doubt all the drama is being captured by cameras, as the 25-year-old announced on her MySpace blog Tuesday (in a posting that has since been deleted) that she is being followed for Saving Amy—what promises to be a particularly raw documentary from interviewer Daphne Barak, which will be released later this year.

"Amy and her family will be the subject of a new documentary later this year," the announcement read. "The journalist spent time with Amy and her family recently on St. Lucia, and in true honest to goodness Amy style, the doc will be a truthful and revealing look at her complicated lifestyle."

In the meantime, Winehouse continues to work on her third album, which she is recording in the Caribbean.
