While authorities continue to investigate the origins of the conflict, the man accused of shooting up-and-coming Atlanta rapper Dolla was charged with murder Wednesday.

Police arrested 23-year-old Aubrey Louis Berry as he tried to board a flight at LAX just hours after Dolla (real name Roderick Anthony Burton II) was gunned down Monday outside the Beverly Center mall in Los Angeles.

Berry is also facing two counts of assault with a firearm for allegedly shooting at two other people at the scene.

His arraignment, originally scheduled for this afternoon, has been postponed until Friday, and a judge has upped his bail from $1.1 million to $5 million.

Per the L.A. Times, detectives are heading out to Atlanta to investigate a fight that allegedly took place between Berry and the victim at a strip club last week

An employee of Platinum 21 Adult Entertainment told the Times that Dolla and a guy he identified as "A.B." got into it at the club on May 13. The rumble ended up in the parking lot, where the two men were heard making threats and shouting gang-affiliated slogans at each other.

Dolla was in L.A. to put the finishing touches on a new album.
