Authorities are looking into it. And right at it, apparently.

Los Angeles police tell E! News that the investigation is "still underway" into whoever allegedly tried to burglarize Lindsay Lohan's Hollywood Hills home Tuesday afternoon.

A surveillance camera at Lohan's pad captured footage of the cops' suspect wearing a white cap and crouched outside a vehicle that was parked on the street outside the actress's house.

No further details about the person of interest were released—not even whether said person is a man or a woman.

"We're referring to them as a suspect so you can't really be certain," LAPD spokesman Richard French said. "You'll see when you see the photos."

Lohan returned to L.A. last night after a short stay in Europe. Police told E! News Tuesday that no one else was home at the time of the break-in and that no personal property was taken.
