Lindsay Lohan's house was quite the hot spot this afternoon—for the cops.

The actress's Hollywood Hills home was broken into Tuesday at around 3 p.m., Los Angeles police confirm to E! News.

"It was an attempted burglary," spokeswoman Karen Reyner said. "No property was taken and no one was home at the time of the incident."

There's no word on any possible suspects, but if they were looking for Lohan, they were flat out of luck. The Labor Pains star is currently in Europe.

It was her home's alarm system that notified police of a potential break-in. When they arrived, officers found evidence that someone had been in the house.

Meanwhile, a source close to the matter tells E! News that a "person of interest" in the case is a man who is said to have been stalking Lohan and making threats against her. He apparently used a knife to break in.
